Practice Areas: Kaashif has a broad based contentious practice with particular focus on financial services aviation, insurance, real estate and media sectors. Kaashif particularly specializes in commercial dispute resolution, international commercial arbitration, ADR and insolvency as well as in offshore structuring of transactions. The practice has included issues as diverse as mis-selling of complex financial products, explosions at petrochemical plants, oil production sharing contracts, aircraft leases, insurance coverage, real estate & construction, cross-border partnership, joint venture and shareholder (including institutional and offshore investor) disputes. He is one of the most active advocates in the DIFC Courts (appearing in the majority of appeal cases), Special Dubai World Tribunal Arbitration matters as well as managing cases in the UAE Courts. He has also represented parties in regulatory investigations by the Dubai Financial Services Authority and regularly accepts appointments to act as arbitrator (party appointed, sole and as chairman) in international and domestic arbitration proceedings.
