Additionally, the Commercial Litigation Group handles all appellate matters of the firm. The group provides counseling for litigation avoidance and has been particularly successful in resolving complex business and commercial disputes. The members of this group have been successful in obtaining numerous multimillion dollar recoveries for the firm’s clients as well as successfully defending claims. Tort Litigation Group: Encompasses the firm’s broad insurance defense practice,which includes toxic tort, products liability, construction defects, premises liability, and serious vehicular collision cases.This practice group also covers the firm’s representation of plaintiffs in serious personal injury and fatality cases. Members of this group have gained national recognition in areas of construction law, indemnity law and insurance coverage disputes. This group’s members are active in a number of national professional associations and committees and are frequent speakers on cutting-edge legal topics presented to fellow tort litigators at national conferences.
The Business & Real Estate Group: Provides advice and counseling to clients in a wide variety of areas.Business formation and organization,mergers and acquisitions and general corporate counseling to both emerging and mature companies are typical services of this group.The group has significant experience in commercial real estate transactions including development, construction, contract negotiations and project delivery systems, purchase and sale, and commercial and industrial leasing.Members of the group provide extensive services in the banking arena, representing both borrowers and lenders. Estate planning, probate and tax matters are also handled by this practice group. The attorneys are qualified in all aspects of employment law, including drafting policy manuals and representation before administrative agencies.
