Practice Areas: Sally M. Abel is Chair of the Trademark Group at Fenwick & West LLP. Her practice focuses on international trademark and trade name counseling, including the development and management of international trademark portfolios and trademark rights on-line.

Career: Ms Abel has repeatedly won international, national, state and Silicon Valley accolades as a preeminent trademark lawyer and was most recently named as an honoree for the Chambers USA Women in Law Awards as one of the top 12 women IP lawyers in the U.S.(2012). She was also named to the International Who’s Who Legal Trademarks 2010 “Most Highly Regarded Individual”, an honor reserved to 15 trademark lawyers, only three of whom are from the United States. For the past three years, Ms Abel has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in the area of intellectual property and trademark law.

Publications: Sally Abel writes and lectures internationally on trademarks and the Internet and teaches international trademark law and practice at Boalt Hall School of Law (UC Berkeley).
