Practice Areas: Russ Emerson pursues and defends patent-infringement claims in district courts across the country, managing and litigating cases involving a wide variety of technologies, from telecommunications and RFID systems to semiconductor fabrication and consumer products. Moreover, Russ has obtained invalidity and noninfringement judgments in jurisdictions including the Eastern District of Texas. In addition to his trial practice, Russ has successfully handled and argued a number of appeals before the Federal Circuit. Before law school, Russ was a commissioned officer in the United States Navy, where he served as a division officer onboard a nuclear-powered submarine.
