Practice Areas: Alan specialises in family law and, in particular, in high net worth financial cases. Alan often deals with Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants). Act 1975 cases and is a full member of ACTAPS. This experience enables Alan to have a solid understanding of Trust law, which is often relevant when dealing with high net worth finance cases where there are frequently family trusts in place.
Professional Memberships: Alan is a member of Resolution and the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).
Career: Alan qualified in 1980 when he joined Rix & Kay as an Assistant Solicitor. Alan has been a partner of the firm since 1985 and is now the Senior Partner and member of the Strategic Board.
Personal: Alan has a keen interest in all sports and has played hockey for Lewes and cricket for Heathfield Park Cricket Club. Alan follows football and holds a season ticket at Brighton & Hove Albion FC. He also enjoys skiing.
