Practice Areas: Bernd deals with all employment law issues, both contentious and non-contentious. He advises a broad range of German companies and multinationals with a focus on the services industry, general industries and the transportation and logistics sector. His particular focus of expertise is the advice of companies regarding their relationships with works councils and trade unions as well as compliance related employment law topics. Bernd represents his clients both in all courts and negotiations out of court. He further advises on employment and service contracts for board members and remuneration schemes for senior executives.

Career: Bernd joined Heuking in 2009 to build up an employment department in its Frankfurt office from a major international law firm where he had been since 2003.

Personal: Bernd is a regular speaker in German and international conferences and seminars. Besides his German he is fluent both in English and Italian.
