Practice Areas: Álvaro specialises in merger control, both before the European Commission and the Spanish competition authorities, behavioural matters and staid aid. He advises national and multinational clients on a diverse range of antitrust matters, from cartel infringement proceedings and dawn raids to merger control approvals by the EC and CNC. His clients for antitrust matters include: E.ON, Enagás, Gas Natural Fenosa, Mediapro, Holcim, Live Nation and Sixt. Also, he leads the energy regulatory team in Spain and regularly represents clients before the Spanish Energy National Commission (CNE) such as: Repsol, Gas Natural, Fluxys, Total and Gaz de France.
