Practice Areas: Gwen heads DMH Stallard’s Banking and Finance Group and specialises in debt finance and refinance including acquisition finance, asset based lending, corporate and commercial banking, property finance, trade finance and syndications.
Having qualified in the City in 1979, she has spent the majority of her career in private practice with one year on secondment to Citicorp Investment Bank and two years in Singapore. She advises on transactional matters and the updating of standard forms.
Her clients include leading banks and other financial institutions as well as borrowers.
Professional Memberships: Gwen is on the editorial board for the IBA's Business Law International Journal. A member (and past co-chair) of the International Bar Association’s Banking Law Committee and of ABFA’s Legal and Technical Forum and the ICC (UK) Committee on Banking Technique & Practice.
Publications: Her publications include Bank Confidentiality (Bloomsbury Professional 2011) and International Acquisition Finance: Law and Practice (OUP 2010) of which she is the general editor and author of the English chapters. She regularly speaks at conferences and provides in-house training seminars for client banks.
