Practice Areas: Partner with Covington & Burling LLP, resident in the firm's London office, Dan is qualified to practice both in the United Kingdom and in the United States. Dan co-chairs Covington's European privacy and data security practice, and in that role regularly advises clients in the IT, online service, healthcare, sports and financial services industries, among others, on their compliance with data protection, data retention, freedom of information, information technology and related laws and regulations. In addition to his extensive compliance and advisory work for individual clients, Dan sits on the boards of a number of privacy NGOs, privacy think tanks, and related bodies and has published extensively on privacy and data protection laws and regulations in the UK, Europe and abroad. He also lectures extensively before audiences in both the US and Europe on privacy and data protection matters.
