Practice Areas: Aziz Rahman is the Senior Partner at Rahman Ravelli Solicitors. He established the practice in 2001 and has worked relentlessly with the firm's team of experts ever since to build the practice to the status it currently enjoys. A renowned specialist in serious/corporate fraud, complex crime, compliance and regulatory matters, Aziz's portfolio of past and present cases boasts of prominent luminaries in all walks of life. He represents Company Directors, professionals and members of the general public facing serious fraud, complex crime and regulatory charges. As a result, he has constant dealings with fraud investigation organisations such as the SFO, SOCA, and the HMRC. Owing to his clients’ international business ventures and expenditures, Aziz is also in regular dealings with other international investigation bodies such as the FBI and SEC in recent and ongoing cases. Aziz has been Named ‘Lawyer in the News’ by the Law Society's Gazette and has also been quoted in papers such as the FT, Guardian and other broadsheets in relation to his successful defending of major Fraud cases including ‘Imperial Consolidated’ and ‘SRM Holdings’. In the case of Gale v SOCA a civil recovery case under POCA, Rahman Ravelli, under Aziz Rahman, fought their clients' rights and interests all the way to the Supreme Court as recently as May 2011. Aziz is currently working on a number of high profile bribery and corruption cases, both in the UK and overseas. These cases, many involving billions of dollars, span governments as well as companies of all sizes and from many industrial sectors. Aziz was also recently quoted at length in the Times on the new Bribery and Corruption Act and how it stands to affect companies across the board.

Career: Admitted in 1999, Aziz established Rahman Ravelli shortly thereafter in 2001. Despite his many achievements, qualifications and long history of success, his pursuit of excellence and progression in his chosen career has nonetheless remained relentless

Publications: As can be expected, Aziz is both an orator and an avid essayist on all matters related to his areas of expertise. As such, some of his articles regularly feature in legal magazines, business and commercial publications. He is also a fervent believer in responding to Consultation papers and his views have been known to be published.

Personal: A keen diver and passionate reader, some of Aziz's best authors include Sidney Sheldon, Jeffery Archer, John Grisham and Lee Child to mention a few. Other extracurricular activities include swimming, music and travelling.
