Practice Areas: He has mediated over 230 cases, the vast majority of which have either settled on the day or very shortly thereafter. His mediation practice has covered a wide variety of areas but in particular he has considerable knowledge of; professional negligence, shareholder and company disputes, construction and real estate, commercial, inheritance and probate disputes (particularly involving property), financial services, employment, partnership and family business disputes.

Career: Trained and practiced in London for 11 years (1977-88). Partner in regional firm, Blake Lapthorn from 1990 to 2012 and Chairman from 2005 to 2011. Founder Director (from 1993) and subsequently Chair (2009-11) of ADR Net Ltd. Former member of Law Society’s ADR Committee. Since May 2012, full time commercial mediator with Independent Mediators. Lectured on mediation topics in the UK and in South Africa and USA.
