In addition it has one of the leading employment and employee benefits groups in the UK, renowned for their ability to deal with a range of people issues, unexpected contractual matters and employment claims that are high value, sensitive and have the potential to affect business reputation. Corporate: Recognised as one of the leading groups in the UK, the firm is well known for its work in M&A, Stock Exchange flotations, corporate finance, public to privates, joint ventures, management buyouts, private equity, corporate restructuring, partnerships, tax, insurance: corporate, regulatory, venture capital. The institutional side of the City practice combines the company, securities, compliance, commercial and tax expertise necessary to advise corporate finance clients. The firm has advised numerous sponsors of domestic flotations and underwriters of equity issues. The firm also has a leading reputation in private equity with strong relationships with all the UK’s equity houses.
Finance & Projects: A practice with a breadth of expertise advising banks, financial institutions and corporates on all areas of finance including general bank lending, acquisition finance, asset finance (including aviation), capital markets, securitisation and structured finance, islamic finance, leveraged finance, project finance, property finance, and trade finance. A leader in the PFI and projects field acting for banking clients as well as project sponsors, it also has a leading reputation in the building society sector, having advised on each of the last 20 building society mergers. Litigation: The firm has significant expertise in relation to all aspects of dispute resolution. It advises corporate and commercial clients as well as having specialist expertise in areas such as banking and securities, construction disputes, defamation, fraud, white-collar crime, product liability, especially in the healthcare industry, real estate, product liability, media, pensions, IT/outsourcing, insurance and reinsurance and also in international arbitration and ADR.
