Commercial Property:
Steptoe’s experience includes industrial and residential development, investment, acquisitions and disposals, property finance, portfolio management, planning and environmental law.
Construction: Steptoe deals with all aspects of construction - from the drafting and negotiation of agreements on behalf of both purchasers and suppliers, to the resolution of disputes by mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation.
Corporate/Commercial: Steptoe handles mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures (UK and cross-border), shareholder agreements, public flotations including AIM listings, venture capital finance, EU law and international corporate structures, agency, distribution and franchising.
Employment Law: Steptoe’s employment lawyers are well versed in employee/employer relations, employment documentation, redundancy, terminations packages, maternity, discrimination, TUPE and advocacy at tribunals.

International Dispute Resolution: Steptoe lawyers are actively engaged in the resolution of disputes involving a wide variety of industry sectors through litigation and arbitration (under ICC, LCIA, SCC, AAA, ICSID, CIETAC and LMAA rules), and have substantial experience in major industries. International Regulation: Steptoe regularly advises on anti-corruption compliance and investigations (including issues arising under the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the implications of the UK Bribery Act and related US and European anti-corruption laws), and export control and economic sanctions regulations.
International Trade: Steptoe has broad experience on regional and multilateral trade negotiations and disputes, US and EU trade policy, customs matters and regulatory requirements.
Tax: Steptoe advises on all aspects of domestic and international taxation including structuring of cross-border transactions, international joint ventures, real estate investment, private equity, transfer pricing, tax litigation, as well as executive compensation and share schemes.
