Career: James has significant expertise in the area of professional discipline and regulation. He advises individuals before the GMC, the NMC and other professional healthcare disciplinary bodies; ecclesiastical bodies; the SRA and the BSB; for accountants at the ICAEW and ACCA; the Police Federation; the FSA and other regulators. James advises high-ranking civil servants or other state officials in internal investigations, boards of inquiry and public inquiries. James is currently instructed on behalf of a number of nurses facing complex disciplinary proceedings; doctors facing fitness to practice; high-ranking PSNI police service in public inquiries in Northern Ireland and personnel before the HFEA.
