Personal Injury: Senior Partner Patrick Allen is a past President of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). The team acts only for the victims of injury. Cases include inquests, catastrophic brain and spinal injuries, accidents at work and road traffic accidents.Multi-party cases include product liability such as defective hip prosthesis and vaccination claims, and historically the Marchioness, Kings Cross Fire, and New Cross Fire inquests, Irish child abuse claims. The firm is listed by Headway, Spinal Injuries Association and Child Brain Injury Trust.
Clinical Negligence: The team obtains damages for injured patients for brain injury, birth injury, orthopaedics, anaesthetics, psychiatry, cardiology, ophthalmology, general surgery and fatal claims. The firm agreed a £4.7m brain injury case against the Home Office in the High Court in April 2010.
Family Law: The large and experienced team advises on everything from relationship breakdowns to domestic violence and complex property disputes. Solicitors include members of Resolution, the Law Society’s children and family law panels, and the Lord Chancellor’s Child Abduction Panel.
