Uniquely in the field of employment, for a firm this size, I have been involved in three of the most prominent law cases to proceed to the House of Lords: Shamoon V Chief Constable of the RUC (sex discrimination) Boyle V SCA Packaging Ltd (disability discrimination) Marks and McConkey V The Simon Community for NI (religious/political discrimination) from this jurisdiction. Currently Legal Advisor to a number of prominent Public Sector Organizations and a large range of corporate and private clients.
Professional Memberships: LL.B. (Hons) Queen's University Belfast 1984 Masters in Human Rights and Discrimination Law 1991. I am a Former Board Member of the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland and Lay Member of the Senate at Queen's University. I am currently the legally qualified Charity Commissioner for Northern Ireland and Board Member of St. Mary's University College, Belfast.
