Practice Areas: Established an employment law practice in December 2005, with a particular focus on practical, HR-driven solutions. Acts mainly for employers but also conducts some claimant work, generally at executive level. Deals with a full range of employment issues, including strategic and HR advice, Tribunal cases and advocacy, negotiations and severance packages. Particular experience acting as an independent investigator. Clients include public sector, SMEs, regional branches of plc companies, as well as schools and colleges.

Career: Languages degree, University of London (1984), followed by paralegal experience at Baker and McKenzie, London. Diploma in Industrial Relations 1988 (University of Westminster). Completed legal qualifications in 1994 and since 1995 has practised exclusively in the field of employment law.
Personal: Married with a son, living in Newcastle upon Tyne. Interests include modern fiction, music, hill-walking, languages and needlecrafts.
