Practice Areas: Commercial and civil including general commercial litigation, banking and finance (including regulatory), aviation, travel, professional negligence, civil fraud, arbitration, insurance, sports and entertainment law. A considerable amount of work is offshore. Noteworthy cases since taking Silk in 2003 include acting for the Central Bank of Trinidad & Tobago in the CLICO Enquiry, for the Bar Council in R (Prudential) v HMRC, for Lloyds Banking Group in the OFT test case on bank charges, for RBS in the credit card test case, for the son of the King of Bahrain in his claim against Michael Jackson, for the Bank of England in Three Rivers and for Qantas in the DVT litigation.
