Practice Areas: Regularly appointed as an arbitrator in international arbitrations in a wide range of commercial disputes, including LCIA, ICC and UNCITRAL arbitrations, as sole arbitrator, chairman and as a party appointee. Has also represented parties in numerous international arbitrations as lead or co-counsel.
Professional Memberships: Member of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce since 2006, member of the Drafting Sub-Committee of the ICC Task Force working on revisions to the ICC Rules of Arbitration, FCIArb and member of the LCIA. Previously Chair of IBA Arbitration Sub-Committee on the Recognition and Enforcement of Arbitral Awards. Arbitration panel memberships include the ICDR, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, the Chinese International Economic & Trade Arbitration Commission and the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce.
Career: Called to the English Bar and joined One Essex Court in 2006. Prior to that he was a solicitor and a partner at Lovells for 24 years where he was head of the firm's international arbitration practice and, before that, Senior Partner of the Hong Kong office.
Publications: Editor of Dispute Resolution International published by the IBA.
