Career: Yvette has 12 years’ post-qualification experience; she previously practised as a solicitor at Freshfields and other firms before being called to the Bar in 2003. In 2010 she was appointed Junior Counsel to the Crown (C panel). Yvette acts for respondents and for claimants and brings a strategic and commercial approach to complex and sensitive claims. She is well-known for her responsiveness and clear advice. Yvette has particular expertise in high value and complex sex and pregnancy discrimination trials, age discrimination claims and all other areas of employment law, including appearances in the Court of Appeal and the Employment Appeal Tribunal. She is renowned for her meticulous preparation whilst remaining down to earth and approachable. One sign of the strength of her growing reputation is that Yvette is frequently recommended by her solicitors to act for individual solicitors in highly sensitive discrimination claims against top law firms. At the same she has an extensive base of corporarate clients including multinationals.
