Practice Areas: Victor Constantinescu heads the firm’s highly touted real estate practice, focusing on all aspects of real estate transactions in Romania, with a particular emphasis on joint ventures. A U.S.-trained lawyer and native English speaker, he has the skill-set and Western knowledge to manage and close time-sensitive transactions. His practice includes advising institutional investment funds and his practice, as a result, extends beyond Romania’s borders.

Career: He has been based permanently in Romania since 2003 and previously worked as an associate for a multinational firm in Chicago for two years. Before founding Biris Goran in April 2006 with his fellow partners, Victor was previously a Member of the Real Estate Department with Salans in its Bucharest and Shanghai offices.
Personal: Victor completed his BA at the University of Pennsylvania, MA in Russian and East European Studies at the University of Toronto, and LLB (common law) and BCL (civil law) at McGill University. Born in Canada of Romanian immigrant parents, he speaks fluent English and Romanian and has a working knowledge of French.
