Practice Areas: Simon Jay advises on all types of mergers and acquisitions, as well as joint ventures and restructurings. He has represented both corporates and private equity funds on a broad range of public and private M&A transactions, often involving cross-border issues.

Career: Mr Jay graduated from St. John’s College, Oxford in 1981 and the following year joined Travers Smith Braithwaite, where he qualified as a solicitor in 1984. He was a member of the Corporate Department from 1984-99, becoming a partner in 1991. He joined Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in 1999 as a Partner.
