Practice Areas: Brenda is an arbitration partner in Herbert Smith Freehills' Shanghai office. She has been actively involved in a wide range of complex international arbitration matters at both the arbitration and enforcement stages. She acts as counsel in both commercial and investment treaty arbitrations, particularly in disputes arising out of investments in Asia, countries of the Former Soviet Union and Central/Eastern Europe. She also sits as arbitrator. Brenda has a transactions background and has advised on cross-border financing, strategic investment transactions, corporate restructurings and related matters in emerging markets. She speaks English, French, Russian, and elementary Mandarin.
