Eduardo García led the team representing Crédit Agricole, Deutsche Bank, and Société Générale in their capacity as arrangers of the EUR1.9 billion securitisation of Europcar's car fleet in Spain, France, Germany and Italy.

Securitisations and structured finance expert Ramiro Rivera recently assisted Bankia and Titulización de Activos with the establishment of a securitisation fund and a EUR614 million notes issue.

Sources praise Jaime Pereda for his quick reactions and profound understanding of clients: "He's always willing to help and puts himself in your shoes, unlike other lawyers who keep their distance."

Iñigo Gómez-Jordana is the managing partner of the firm's Madrid office. He recently advised Ahorro y Titulización and Barclays on the EUR1.3 billion securitisation of a mortgage portfolio.

Enrique Carretero is Baker & McKenzie's leading name for capital markets work. He has more than 20 years of experience and combines "extremely broad knowledge with an innovative and rigorous approach."
Ignacio Gómez-Sancha is a recent addition to the team at DLA Piper Spain and is a well-respected market figure. He is a former general counsel of Bolsas y Mercados Españoles, and clients highlight his proactive style and technical finesse as key strengths.
José Blanco recently joined Simmons & Simmons LLP after leaving Ramón y Cajal. He enters the rankings following strong recommendations. "He's a pleasure to work with because he doesn't make things complicated. He's very in tune with the market and is clear and always available," remarks a source.
