This year's Chambers USA Awards for Excellence will be held in New York on Thursday, May 23rd 2013.

The Awards honour outstanding firms on the basis of research carried out for Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. These awards reflect a law firm's pre-eminence in key practice areas. They also reflect notable achievements over the past 12 months including outstanding work, impressive strategic growth and excellence in client service.

  • The Chambers USA Awards for Excellence 2012 were held on June 7th at Manhattan's prestigious Cipriani 42nd Street.
  • The American Cancer Society held a silent auction of sporting and entertainment memorabilia.
  • More than 500 guests attended the event, which honoured the achievements of the US legal world.

  • The Antitrust Award is won by Arnold & Porter.
  • Representatives from Sidley Austin collect the Award for Bankruptcy.
  • Chip Ingraham collects the Award for Construction on behalf of Seyfarth Shaw.
  • Sullivan & Cromwell triumph in the Corporate/M&A category.
  • David Levine and Louis Mazawey collect Groom Law Group's Award for excellence in Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation.
  • The Award for Energy Projects: Oil & Gas is collected by Steptoe & Johnson.
  • Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom wins the Energy Projects: Power Award.
  • Epstein Becker & Green is honored for excellence in Healthcare.
  • The Covington & Burling team is presented with the Award for Insurance (policyholder) representation.
  • The Insurance Award for representing insurers went to Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.
  • Debevoise & Plimpton's team is triumphant in the International Arbitration category.
  • White & Case won the Client Service Award for International Arbitration.
  • The Investment Funds Award is given to Ropes & Gray.
  • Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton's investment funds team picks up the Award for Client Service.
  • Latham & Watkins is honored for the excellence of its IP practice.
  • The IP Client Service Award is presented to Arent Fox.
  • Proskauer Rose collects the Award for Labor & Employment.
  • Jenner & Block triumphs in the Media category.
  • Bartlit Beck Herman Palenchar & Scott is presented with the Product Liability Award.
  • Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom wins the Real Estate Award.
  • The Securities Regulation prize went to Davis Polk & Wardwell.
  • Sutherland Asbill & Brennan earns recognition for its leading Tax practice.
  • Evan Chesler of Cravath, Swaine & Moore receives the individual Award for Litigation: Business Trial Lawyers.
  • Kate Murashige of Morrison & Foerster is honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
  • Elizabeth Cabraser of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein is recognised for her outstanding contribution to the industry.
  • WilmerHale's Seth Waxman is also recognised for his distinguished contribution to the profession.
