More than 500 distinguished guests attended the Chambers Bar Awards 2011 at the Park Lane Hilton on Thursday October 27th. Hosted by writer and broadcaster Clive Coleman, the awards recognize the exceptional achievement within the previous year for chambers, silks, and juniors alike.
3 Verulam Buildings claimed the biggest award of the night after being named 'Set of the Year.' Guildhall Chambers, with seven out of seven top tier rankings, landed the 'Regional Set of the Year.' Brick Court and Essex Court scooped the most awards with five apiece. Brick Court won the most Silk and Junior awards while Gordon Pollock QC of Essex Court Chambers, Edward Nugee QC of Wilberforce Chambers and Michael Greenaway, former clerk of Hollis Whiteman Chambers all received Lifetime Achievement Awards.
