He is recognised as a leading practitioner in the field and acts for significant government, semi-government and private clients. John has been involved in many of the major environmental litigation matters in Australia. He has extensive experience in large scale urban infrastructure projects and with pollution control and land contamination issues. He also has substantial experience in the field of climate change law. John leads Herbert Smith Freehills' Australian Climate Change Focus Group.
