Practice Areas: Matthew Bersani is Asia Managing Partner for the firm and specialises in corporate finance and securities transactions. He has deep experience representing both issuers and underwriters in Rule 144A/Regulation S offerings and registered US public offerings of equity securities and convertible and exchangeable debt offerings. He worked on the initial public offerings of Tesco Lotus property fund, Petronas, MakeMyTrip, ICBC, Sterlite, PetroChina, China Telecom, Thai Oil, The Link REIT and Sihuan Pharmaceuticals. He has worked on debt offerings for Hutchison, Vincom, Vedanta, SingTel, China Mobile and the Vietnam government. Mr Bersani also leads Shearman & Sterling's India Group.
